Smith-Schuster’s recruiting campaign began with a series of Instagram posts this week. "[James] can be the best athlete ever if he makes the move to the NFL and wins a Super Bowl with Steeler Nation,” he wrote in his initial post Wednesday.

The receiver, who caught 58 passes and 7 touchdowns as a rookie last season, followed up with a video of James playing for the Steelers in a game of “Madden NFL 18.”

The clip shows James in black and yellow wearing No. 6 (No. 23 is taken by safety Mike Mitchell), lined up at wide receiver, catching passes from Ben Roethlisberger and out jumping and running over a helpless Cincinnati Bengals secondary.

“That’s a scary sight,” the caption reads.

In another post, Smith-Schuster offers reasons why James should considering playing for the Steelers.

“LeBron is all about championships,” he says. “There’s no better place to come than Pittsburgh where we’re all about championships.” Smith adds that James will be hated if he goes play for the Heat, Lakers or Warriors. “The best place to come to, the most loyal fans are in Pittsburgh.”
